MITZVAH SQUAD

We have been very fortunate to have the financial help of young people with our project to assist the Jews of Cuba.  Some have asked guests for donations as part of their b'nai mitzvah celebrations.  Some have simply chosen to donate part of what they received.  One teen youth group made a special collection while the students from several synagogue schools have sent part of their charity money. These young people understand the need to do Tikun Olam.  We gratefully and proudly acknowledge their achievements.

RELIGIOUS SCHOOL   DONORS

Students bring tzedukah donations to religious school that are divided and donated at the end of the school year according to a student vote. The choices are varied but what makes us especially happy is being included among those they think worthy to receive and disperse their charity money.

We gratefully acknowledge gifts from:

The grade 2 and 3 students of Jewish Community Religious School in Roanoke, VA have donated their Tzedukah money to the CAJM
The students of Congregation Beth Or in Spring House, Pennsylvania
The students of Temple Solel in Encinitas, California (2000)
New Rochelle Teens
The 5th Grade Class of the Roanoke Jewish Community Religious School

The students of Temple Solel in Encinitas have continued their support by donating more than two dozen tallitot and several dozen new kipot. (2001)
